BMW: Costa Rica EV Map
By 2023, Costa Rica had become the third country in Latin America with the most EV charging points — yet most people had no idea where to find them. BMW, a global leader in electric mobility, decided to act: instead of claiming Costa Rica was ready for the electric transition, we proved it.
Working with a digital cartographer, we extracted the coordinates of all 249 charging points in the country and built the Costa Rica EV Map — the first detailed, shareable cartographic record of the network on Google Maps.

The infrastructure existed. The problem was invisible.
The issue wasn't the infrastructure — it was the awareness gap. Drivers complained they couldn't find chargers and doubted the country was ready for electric mobility. The perception had to be shifted with facts, not advertising.

A solution that became a public good.
The map gave anyone the ability to plan trips, locate charging points and share information with others — turning an underused resource into a public tool with real-world value.
Sometimes the best campaign isn't an ad. It's a solution.
