Casio: Find It

A storefront, 2,000 watches and one award-winning idea.

During the pandemic, 50% capacity limits meant only one customer could be inside a store at a time. For Casio Costa Rica, that was a real problem: a line of customers waiting outside, with the risk of losing them before they made it in.

We created Find It — a promotion that turned the storefront window into entertainment. 2,000 watches on display, all synchronized except one. Whoever spotted it won 30% off their next purchase.

One restriction, one window and one big idea.

Keep customers engaged — and their purchase intent intact — while they waited on the sidewalk, with no budget for big activations and in the middle of a global crisis. The solution had to be simple, visible and work with what was already in front of us.

The Outcome

The promotion held customers' interest and purchase intent during the wait, turning an operational constraint into a memorable experience.

The campaign was recognized at the 2021 Effie Awards Costa Rica with bronze in Crisis Response and silver in Limited Budget, and earned silver at Argentina's FePi festival in the Online COVID 2020 category.
